Analysis and Design of e-Learning Information System
Štacha, Jan ; Eysselt, Miloš (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis is focused on IBM Rational Unified Process methodology, which represents complex and robust aproach to software development and software lifecycle. This methodology is well described and every step of software lifecycle is predictible. Thats the reason why is becoming used in many software development organizations. The main goal of this thesis is deep description of this methodology and creation common outputs of inception and elaboration phase of e-learning information system. IBM Rational Unified Process is called use-case driven aproach, thats the reason why is emphasized descripton of all use-cases.
Statechart Diagram Simulator
Žídek, Marek ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
The Master's thesis presents specification, analyze and design phase of software development. The most stress is putted on Model Driven Development. It contains brief description of almost all UML 2.0 diagrams (use case diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram, activity diagram, state chart, component diagram and deployment diagram). Those principles have been extended to executable UML which can be used for model-driven software architecture. The design of such architecture is one of the current projects of Faculty of Information Technology, BUT. The part of that project is statechart simulator. The thesis discusses whole design of state chart simulator system step by step. It starts with specification, walk thought use case diagram and class diagram to collaboration diagram. In the last chapter, we mention the biggest implementation problems and specificities of Squeak Smalltalk programming language. Finally, it considers possibilities for extension and it evaluates results.

Designing integrated information system for product portfolio management support
Šebelík, Ondřej ; Koliš, Karel (advisor) ; Švecová, Lenka (referee)
Information is the currency of our world. Making right decisions requires having reliable, comprehensive and thorough information still at hand. The tools that can provide it? Information systems. However, the purpose of today's information systems is more than to just collect and store information: they need to integrate numerous data sources (both internal and external), identify essential pieces of information and set them apart from the rest, and provide the people relying on them a clear picture of the situation. In short: they should offer unified, user-friendly, well-structured and comprehensive view of business reality. This paper focuses on the first stage of an information system design. Concerned primarily with the business analytical phases of an IT project, it presents an insight into the process of business reality exploration and description through conceptual data model and architecture vision articulation.
